DUNKEL, MARY A.
(24 May 1928, Beckham County Democrat, Erick, Beckham Co, OK):
Mrs. Mary Cox Dunkle (sic) was born near Bonham, Texas, Sept. 16th, 1883. 
She was married to Mr. R. L. Dunkle of Mobite (sic), Texas, Feb. 14th,
1908.  To this union two children were born, one daughter Miss Adrain
Dunkle and one son Robert both of Erick.
Sister Dunkle departed this life May 9th, 1928, age 44 years 7 months and
23 days.  She was for many years before her death in ill health, but bore
her pain with courage and few of her friends even knew of her serious
illness until the end came at the Erick Hospital on Wednesday evening May
9th, 1928.
She was a true mother who loved her home and her family and always gave
them first consideration in her thoughts and deeds.  She made a wonderful
contribution to the world in giving to it Miss Adrain, her accomplished
daughter and the young son both of whom bear the marks of a true Christian
mother's inspiration and love.
She was converted and joined the Presbyterian church at the early age of
13, at Christial Falls, Texas, and remained a member of this church until
God called her home to rest.
She was laid to rest in the Erick cemetery, leaving beside her husband and
two children, a mother, seven brothers and two sisters.
May the God of Peace always attend the hearts of those who mourn the going
of this devoted.
