ELMS, IRIS UDELL
(12 Sep 1912, Thursday, Erick Altruist, Erick, Beckham Co, OK):
Little Miss Iris Udell Elms the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Elms
died Tuesday, September 10, 1912, at 2 P.M., age 8 months little Miss Iris
was the only daughter of her devoted parents and because of this perhaps
her death is more saddening to them although she has never been robust at
any time during her short life her parents had hoped against hope that
their darling might survive the ravages of infantile ailments that made
her innocent existence miserable.  Mr. and Mrs. Elms and their four bright
boys have the heartfelt sympathy of a host of friends.  Funeral services
were held at the grave Wednesday afternoon at four o'clock, and interment
was made in the Erick cemetery.  The Erick Post Office remained clothed
(sic) from 4 to 5:30 P.M. on the day of the funeral.  Mr. Elms being
highly esteemed as an employee in the Postal Service.
