ELMS, OSCAR THURMOND
(22 Aug 1907, Thursday, Beckham County Democrat, Erick, Beckham Co, OK):
Died, Sunday at 1:30 p.m., Oscar Thurmond Elms, infant son of Mr. and Mrs.
J. R. Elms.
(29 Aug 1907, Erick Altruist, Erick, Beckham Co, OK):
Called Home.  Oscar Thurmond Elms, the six months old son of Mr. and Mrs.
J. R. Elms, died Sunday Aug 18 at 1:30 p.m., and was buried Monday
afternoon, Rev. J. F. Elder, conducted the funeral services.  The Elms
family has had apparently more than its share of grief recently, the
infant child of Mr. Elms Sister Mrs. Harris died the same day that Mr. and
Mrs. Elms lost their little son, and Mrs. Jas. Elms and her infant child
are both quite ill at this time.  Owing to an oversight mention of the
death of Mr. and Mrs. Rob Elms baby was omitted in last weeks issue of the
Altruist for which we are sorry.  All the afflicted and bereived (sic) in
the Elms and Harris families have the most sincere sympathy of  all the
people in this community.
