EVANS, WILLIAM H.
(3 May 1917, Beckham County Democrat, Erick, Beckham Co, OK):
Mr. William H. Evans died at his home eight miles southeast of Erick
Sunday evening at about 6 o'clock.  He had been ill only a short time but
for several days his death had been regarded as a matter of a very short
time.
The funeral was held Monday evening at four o'clock at the Erick cemetery,
the services being conducted by Rev. T. R. Clenlinen of the M. E. Church
who spoke in a feeling manner before the large concourse present.
The deceased is a son of an old and respected citizen of Erick, G. W.
(grandpa) Evans and of the late Fannie A. Evans.  He was a native of
Hickman Co., Ky., born November 20th, 1866, and was 50 years, 5 months and
9 days old.  On December 29th, 1912, he was married to Miss Lora Bolin. 
Two small children, little son and daughter were born to Mr. and Mrs.
Evans and are left to be the comfort and gladness of their grief-stricken
mother.
Beside the father, two brothers survive, they are G. J. Evans of near
Erick and E. M. Evans of Charlston, Mo.  In the death of Mr. Evans Erick
has sustained a great loss for he was a good man, loved and respected by
his neighbors.  He was a devoted and kindly husband and father and his
home life was full of contentment and happiness.
The example of his life will be a more enduring monument that the marble
shaft that will mark his last resting place.  By a Friend.

kind and untiring kindness and patients (sic) attendance in the sickness
and death of our beloved husband, son and brother, W. H. Evans.  There is
