FOULK, C. L.
(13 Sep 1917, Thursday, Beckham County Democrat, Erick, Beckham Co, OK):
The Editor and family received a phone message announcing the death of
Mrs. Cain's youngest brother, C. L. Foulk at Camargo, Okla., last Thursday
and we immediately went overland to that town returning late Sunday
afternoon.  This of course necessitated the practically closing of the
week and the stopping of the work on this weeks paper during that time. 
We therefore give this good excuse for any deficiences (sic) of this
issue.
Little Miss Flora Foulk came back with the Editors family and will make
her home with us.  By the death of her father last week she was left an
orphan.
