Fryer died last Thursday evening about 8 o'clock at his home near Delhi and was buried Friday evening in the Erick cemetery. Funeral services were conducted by the Erick lodge of Masonry. Until about one week before his death, Mr. Fryer had excellent health. He was a large, robust man, but became ill with typhoid-pneumonia and died within one week. We are thus again reminded of the uncertainty of life. Mr. Fryer was a substantial farmer, about 28 years of age. He came to Greer from Cooke county, Texas, about two years ago and by his industry and upright living had obtained the esteem of everyone with whom he came in contact. W. R. Fryer and wife, parents of the deceased, together with his brother, R. F. Fryer, of Cooke County, Texas, were present at the funeral which was held Friday afternoon under the auspices of the Masonic fraternity of which order Mr. Fryer was a respected member. His remains were interred in the Erick cemetery. He is survived by his widow and an infant child. Mrs. Fryer was formerly Miss Fannie Nunn and is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. N. J. Nunn of this place. --------------------------------------------------------- Return to Beckham County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/beckham/beckham.htm
