GITHENS, BLANCHE
(24 Feb 1927, Beckham County Democrat, Erick, Beckham Co, OK):
DIED.  Mrs. Sam Githens died at their home in Sweetwater, Thursday and was
buried Sunday 19 miles northeast of Cheyenne.
Mrs. Sam Githen (Nee Blanch Penning) Died at her home at Sweetwater,
Oklahoma, February 9th, 1927, age 32 years.  Was married to S. T. Githen
October 4th, 1920, to this union are three children, Eileen age five
years, Robert age three, Carl Willis nine days old.
Fatheree Furniture Co., was called to take care of the funeral services. 
A short service was held at the Mustang Baptist Church at Sweetwater of
which denomination she was a member at Texola.  Rev. H. M. Coffey
conducted the services after which she was taken to the home of her
parents near Crawford Oklahoma where she had spent her girlhood days and
was laid to rest the following Sabbath in that community to await the
resurrection morn.  To know her was to love her she had a sweet and
uncomplaining spirit, we never heard her speak one harmful word of anyone
while we knew her and believe she was a consecrated christian.
Husband, children, father, mother, brother sisters may you live in the
confidence that she is in the enjoyment of everlasting happiness.  May God
breathe into your hearts peace and cheerful resignation in these lonely
hours you must not be down cast, for there is help from God sorrowing ones
look forward with christian bright anticipation of a glad reunion in that
bright and beautiful home above.  A Friend.
