GLISSON, LOU JANE
(17 Jan 1929, Thursday, Erick Democrat, Erick, Beckham Co, OK):
Mrs. Bonnie Madge Curtis arrived Monday from Tuscon (sic), Arizona, with
the body of her mother, Mrs. E. W. Glisson.
Lou Jane McAlister was born at Stevenville, Texas, 1875 and departed from
this life, January 11th, 1929, at Tuscon, Arizona, age 57 years.
In 1892 she was united in marriage to E. W. Glisson, and lived in Texas
for several years.  The family moved to Oklahoma and settled near Erick in
the early days.  This has been their home for the past thirty years.
Mrs. Glisson was a kind and loving mother, and always had a pleasant word
for everybody.  For the past few years she had been in poor health and was
at Tuscon for the benefit of her health when she passed away.
She is survived by three children, Homer Glisson of Erick and Mrs. Bonnie
Curtis and Nolan Glisson of  Tuscon, Arizona.
The funeral was held at the Baptist Tabernacle, Monday, January 14th, at
11 a.m., Rev. Harry W. Davis officiating and the body was laid to rest in
the Erick Cemetery.
