GRAY, JOHN G.
(19 Jan 1922, Erick Democrat, Erick, Beckham Co, OK):
J. G. Gray, a Mexican, who has been living on the Phoeve Strong farm,
northeast of Erick, died very suddenly last Saturday, Jan 14.  Dr. Noblett
was called to ascertain the cause of death and pronounced that his death
was caused by asthma, of which the deceased had been suffering from.
Mr. Gray leaves four small children to mourn his departure, one girl and
three boys, who were left in bad circumstances.  A number of our good
people went to their rescue, and all that kind hearts and tender hands
could do was done.
Mr. Gray was a man of about 55 years of age.
Bro. McCorkle of the Christian church preached the funeral services Sunday
and the remains were laid to rest in the Erick cemetery.
