GRAYSON, MARGARET ELLEN
(18 Jul 1929, Erick Democrat, Erick, Beckham Co, OK):
Mrs. Margaret Ellen Grayson passed away on July 11th, at the home of her
son, Mr. Walter Grayson, who resides east of Erick, after a lingering
illness of several months.  She was born in Jackson county, Ala., February
19th, 1870, and at the time of her death was 58 years, 4 months and 22
days old.  She was married to J. H. Grayson in March 1889, in Alabama.  To
this union were born nine children, seven boys and two girls.  Her husband
and two children having preceeded her in death.  She leaves seven
children, Messrs. R. P., J. W., W. T. and W. F. Grayson, two daughters,
Mrs. Mattie Purtle and Mrs. Virgie Webster; one brother, Mr. John McKay of
Erick, and two sisters who reside in Alabama and a number of relatives and
friends to mourn her death.
Mrs. Grayson was connected with and joined the church early in life and
died as she had lived in the triumphs of a living faith.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. S. N. Wilson at the home on July
12th, after which the body was laid to rest in the Erick Cemetery,
accompanied by a large number of friends.
