GREEN, FEMALE
(31 May 1917, Beckham County Democrat, Erick, Beckham Co, OK):
Sad News.  Monday evening E. M. Green received the sad news that his
mother was one of the victims of the terrible storm that swept over six
southern states last Saturday and Sunday, taking a toll of over two
hundred killed and over fifteen hundred wounded.
Mrs. Green, whose home was at Juno, Tenn., was at Trezvant, Tenn., where
she had been called to the bedside of a sick brother.  She was eighty
seven years of age.  Six were killed and thirty two injured at this town
alone.  At this writing, Monday, no particulars had been received as to
the good lady's death.  Mr. Green, we are informed, had made all plans to
pay her a visit in the very near future.
The Democrat join with his many friends in extending to him our heartfelt
sympathy in this great bereavement.
