L. Haddock. While she was ill but a few short hours, she has always been delicate, but of late strong hopes were entertained that she would develope (sic) into perfect health, for lately she has been the picture of health. She was a beautiful child of the sweetest imaginable disposition and for her age, 3 years, she was one of the brightest children, it has been the good fortune of the Editor to know intimately. She was the pride of her parents and a host of relatives and friends, as her father and mother are both prominent people, especially in church work. The funeral services were conducted at their home on account of the illness of the mother and two little brothers who were bedfast with the influenza, by J. A. Minton a close relative of the family and was a beautiful and touching tribute to the little one and a consolation to the grief stricken parents. She was laid away to rest in the Erick Cemetery, Sunday at 12 a.m., followed to her grave by a large crowd of sorrowing relatives and friends. Many beautiful floral tributes were placed on the little casket by the Christian Sunday School, Mrs. Haddock's Sunday School class and others. Class No. 2 of the Christian Sunday School, taught by Mrs. Haddock, acted as pall bearers and escort. ---------------------------------------------------------- Return to Beckham County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/beckham/beckham.htm
