(29 May 1930, Beckham County Democrat, Erick, Beckham Co, OK): TEXOLA WOMAN DIED MONDAY. Mrs. A. J. Hawkins, 69, died early Monday morning at the home of her sister, Mrs. W. T. Woolsey, in Texola, following a siege of illness lasting some years. The remains are being held at the mortuary of D. G. Fatheree in this city pending funeral arrangements and arrival of relatives from California. (5 Jun 1930, Beckham County Democrat, Erick, Beckham Co, OK): Hawkins Funeral At Texola. Funeral services for the late Mrs. A. J. Hawkins were held in the Baptist church in Texola last Thursday afternoon, attended by a large concourse of friends and relatives. She died at her home there, May 26th. She was one of the pioneers of this community having lived for several decades on a farm north of Texola and of late making her home in that town where she held large property investments.
