HICKS, DEAUBREY
(18 Aug 1921, Beckham County Democrat, Erick, Beckham Co, OK):
Good Woman Yields Up Life Because of Complication of Diseases.
Mrs. Cecil Hicks passed away Sunday morning at 1 o'clock at the Erick
Hospital.
The remains were taken to Texola where the funeral services were conducted
at 4 p.m.  Interment in the Texola cemetery.
When a girl of 15 Mrs. Hicks became a Christian and united with the
Baptist Church.  She has lived a consistent christian life since that time
and was sincere and tireless in her efforts to rear her two little
daughters in the ways of right.
Husband, children and relatives were prostrate with grief at the taking of
this beloved member of the family.  The Democrat and towns people extend
their deepest sympathy to the bereaved relatives.
