HICKS, WYTH J.
(11 Sep 1924, Thursday, Erick Democrat, Erick, Beckham Co, OK):
Died.  Wyth J. Hicks was born Feb. 1, 1852, died Sept. 5, 1924, at the
home of his daughter, Mrs. C. T. Willingham.
The funeral services were held at the Baptist church Saturday evening and
the body was taken to the Erick cemetery for burial.  Mr. Hicks was a fine
man, who will be much missed in the community in which he has so long
resided.  He is survived by a wife and three or four children, who have
the sympathy of our people.
Card of Thanks
We the undersigned desire to thank our many friends for the love and
kindness to us during the protracted illness and death of our dear
husband, father and grandfather.
Never was there room for a word, deed or assistance in any way, but that
loving hearts and hands were ready to administer aid and comfort.
You will ever remain dear to our hearts and we pray Gods richest blessings
on each and every one.

Mrs. O. W. Bobo of Norwalk, Calif., and A. L. Hicks of Idabel, Okla., are
here visiting their father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Hicks, also
their sisters, Mrs. J. H. Thomas and Mrs. C. T. Willingham.  The relatives
were all assembled at the home of C. T. Willingham on Monday July 28th. 
This is the first time the father and mother and all the children have
been together in 19 years.
