A. R. Hutchinson went to Shamrock Tuesday evening where he conducted the funeral of Mr. Killingsworth, who died at Shreveport, Texas. Sam Blonstein accompanied him. Obituary. James Killingsworth was born May 30th, 1858, and died Jan. 13, 1928. He was married to Miss Tracy Davis in 1884. To this union was born one daughter, Mrs. Eula V. Forth of Phoenix, Arizona. In 1896 he was married to Annie Zeigler and to this union there was born nine children, three girls and six boys, all who survive him together with his wife. Brother Killingsworth was converted and joined the Methodist Church at the age of sixteen, from this early conversion he remained a faithful member of his church. Brother Killingsworth was one of the best citizens of the community in which he lived. He was always true to his convictions and ideals. He loved his family and gave himself in sacrificial service for them and his neighbors. The funeral was conducted by Rev. Alva R. Hutchinson, pastor of the Erick Methodist Church, at Shamrock, Texas, January 17th. (28 Apr 1927, Beckham County Democrat, Erick, Beckham Co, OK): REUNION At the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Killingsworth, Thursday, Apr. 26th. Those present were, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Killingsworth, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Killingsworth, and two children, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Killingsworth and two children, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Killingsworth and baby, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Killingsworth, Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Johnston and son, and Mr. and Mrs. C. Forth and daughter, Pearl. Ice cream and cake were served and all reported a nice time. The mother and dad were glad to have the family of 26 in number together again.
