Due to the fact that she was ill such a short time before death occurred, few people in Wellington knew of her illness, before they learned of her death, which made the deplorable news doubly shocking. Mrs. LeDerer was one of the most prominent and best loved ladies of Wellington where she had lived for the past seventeen years, assisting her husband in the operation of the LeDerer Hardware & Furniture Co., which is one of Wellington's leading business institutions. She was 37 years, 4 months and 9 days of age at the time of her death, having been born December 23, 1891 at Collingsville, Texas. Mrs. LeDerer was held in highest esteem in the community where her cultured charm, her radiant disposition and her fine personality had won her legions of friends. Her home was always open to them, and here she was not only a sincere friend but a gracious hostess. Although Mrs. LeDerer's death was untimely, she had lived a well rounded life. She had given many years to the community and the influence of her exemplary life will be long felt. She was interested in her husband's business and had spent much of her time in helping him become a successful merchant. She loved her home, her palatial residence reflects the quiet charm and dignity that was such a pronounced characteristic of her own. She lived without pretense and gave freely of her time and energies to every cause which she respected, rejecting those which she felt were without merit and which she thought had little upon the communities' progress. Being associated in business, Mrs. LeDerer naturally came in close contact with people of every class and the fact that she was genuinely admired by people in every walk of life is a splendid tribute to friends with all with whom she was associated. She refrained from indulging in petty troubles that arise in every business and day after day her calm poise and sweet disposition remained undisturbed. Truly, her life was filled with only the better thoughts for her people. Her character will long remain in the minds and hearts of the Wellington people. Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon at 4:30 where hundreds of her friends taxed the building to more than seating capacity while scores who could not gain entrance remained outside through the services. Rev. I. A. Smith, pastor of the church spoke a beautiful sermon in regard to the life Mrs. LeDerer had lived, and Judge R. H. Templeton, who was a close friend of the family, also made a touching eulogy. A procession which extended entirely from the church to the cemetery followed the body to its final resting place where the remains were interred after a prayer was spoken by Rev. Smith. Relatives surviving are: her husband, Fred C. LeDerer of Wellington; her mother, Mrs. M. E. Cornelison of Norman, Oklahoma; six sisters who are Mrs. W. F. Keen, of Pomona, California; Mrs. Henry Hansen of Oklahoma City; Mrs. Claude Klapp of Tecumseh, Oklahoma; Mrs. J. I. Chipman of Oklahoma City; Mrs. Vance Capps of Pomona, California and Miss Zada Cornelison of Oklahoma City; a half sister, Mrs. Drew Dawkins of Claud; five brothers who are Claude Cornelison of Norman; LeRoy Cornelison of Oklahoma City; George Cornelison of Erick; Ira Cornelison of Erick and Port Cornelison of Erick.
