(3 Apr 1924, Beckham County Democrat, Erick, Beckham Co, OK): R. H. Lowrance Meets Death. The remains of R. H. Lowrance, who met death in a fire last week at Three Sands, Okla., was brought to Erick last Monday and laid to rest in the Erick cemetery. He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. S. S. Lowrance of this city. Our heartfelt sympathy is extended to the family and many friends in this sad hour. (3 Apr 1924, Elk City News Democrat, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): SAYRE MAN THOUGHT TO PERISH IN FIRE. The following is from the Fort Worth Star Telegram last Friday, and written from Ponca City, Okla. R. C. Wheeler of Ranger, Texas, and Henry Loranze (sic), believed to be of Sayre, Okla., were killed in a fire at Three Sands, an oil field town near Tonkawa, early today, which destroyed a block of business houses.
