All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ********************************************************************* MATHERLY, PAUL AUDUBON (11 Oct 1923, Beckham County Democrat, Erick, Beckham Co, OK): Paul Audubon Matherly, born June 20, 1878, at Terre Haute, Ind., died Oct. 3, 1923, at 10:30 p.m., at West Lawn Farm, 6 and 1/2 miles south of Erick. He has been a sufferer of rheumatism for a number of years and his death was caused by that affliction. The funeral service was held at West Lawn Farm, and the remains were laid to rest in the Erick cemetery. Religeous service was conducted by Rev. S. N. Wilson and Rev. Danner of Texola, Okla. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and of the W.O.W. Mrs. Dixie Davis, of Oklahoma City, and Mrs. Young of Wichita, Kansas, and Clyde Matherly of Gainsville, Texas, were here to attend the funeral of their brother, Paul A. Matherly. CARD OF THANKS To those of our friends and neighbors who were present during the illness and death of our beloved Paul and contributed their help, sympathy and their kindly acts, during one of our darkest hours.
