MC DOWELL, BURT
(2 Apr 1914, Thursday, Erick Altruist, Erick, Beckham Co, OK):
School was suspended Thursday in respect to the McDowell children, whose
little brother was buried in the Mayfield Cemetery.  Little Burt was
thirteen months of age, but was the jewel of the home and loved by all who
knew him.  He had been a sickly child all his life and everyone favored
him.  All the school and community extend most heart-felt sympathy to all
the family.
