(7 Nov 1918, Thursday, Beckham County Democrat, Erick, Beckham Co, OK): A. O. Miller died at Corpus Christi, Tex. on Oct. 30, 1918, his body was shipped to Elk City where the remains were laid to rest in Fair Lawn Cemetery Saturday Nov. 2, under the auspices of the A. F. and A. M. Lodge. A wife and seven children are left to mourn his loss, two sons in the service, one in France, and one in Hawaii, a married daughter in Cincinati (sic), Ohio and two small daughters and two small sons. Mr. Miller was well and favorably known all over the County, having formerly lived at Texola, he was a pardner (sic) in the Williams-Miller Gin at this place. Many people from various places in the County attended his funeral. Lee Powell was an Elk City visitor, Saturday and Sunday, attending the funeral of A. O.
