MINTON, JINCY
(21 Nov 1912, Thursday, Erick Altruist, Erick, Beckham Co, OK):
Mrs. Jincy Minton died at the home of her son, Judge James A. Minton
yesterday morning, Nov. 21, 1921, at the advanced age of 83 years, 2
months and 14 days.
Funeral services were held this morning at the Christian Church and
interment was made at the Erick cemetery.  Rev. Betcher conducted the
services and pronounced a beautiful eulogy concerning the grand old lady
whose long life of devotion to her loved ones ended peacefully as she
breathed a prayer of  thankfulness to God whom she had faithfully served
for more than half a century.  During the hour of the funeral the Post
Office and business houses of Erick suspended business and a large number
were present at the services to pay a tribute of love and respect to Mrs.
Minton.  Two sons J. A. and C. B. Minton and their families survive Mrs.
Minton as her only descendants.
