All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ********************************************************************* MORGAN, GRACE ELLEN (21 Nov 1918, Thursday, Beckham County Democrat, Erick, Beckham Co, OK): Our city was shocked and grieved Saturday by the announcement that Mrs. A. D. Morgan had died that morning at 7:30 a.m. She had been sick some time ago, partially recovered and took a relapse, and her death came as a surprise. Mrs. Morgan was a most excellent, kind Christian lady, beloved by all and her death is deeply deplored by all. The entire community join the bereaved husband and relatives in their grief. Funeral services were conducted at the Tabernacle at the cemetery at 3 o'clock p.m. and the remains laid to rest in the Erick cemetery. (5 Dec 1918, Thursday, Beckham County Democrat, Erick, Beckham Co, OK): Again sorrow has entered our home and town; Sister Grace Ellen Morgan, wife of A. D. Morgan, passed from earth to heaven. Sister Morgan was a member of the 1st Baptist Church of Erick, and loved not only by it's membership, but by her sweet christian character, the entire town mourn her departure. Her father and mother and two sisters, also his father, two brothers and sister-in-law were present and followed her remains to it's resting place and a numerous hosts of loving sympathising friends. The noble husband and two sweet children too were unable to follow the precious beautiful casket. ERICK REBEKAH LODGE I.O.O.F. No. 352 Whereas, Sister Grace E. Morgan, an ardent advocate of the spirit of the Order, has been removed from our midst and whereas in the death of Sister Morgan Erick Rebekah Lodge No. 352 I.O.O.F. has lost a faithful and devoted member who always took a deep interest in questions affecting the advancement of the Rebekah Degree. Be it resolved that as a token of esteem in which we held Sister Grace Morgan, that a page of the records of the Lodge be set aside to her memory and that a copy of this resolution be spread upon, a copy be given to Bro.
