(18 Aug 1904, Erick Enterprise, Erick, Beckham Co, OK): We are grieved to hear of the sudden and unexpected death of our old neighbor, L. B. Moss, which occurred in Erick Friday, August 12, at 8 a.m. Mr. Moss was first taken down with measles which finally terminated in dropsy. He leaves a wife and seven children to mourn his loss. Their neighbors and friends of Old Dennis extend to them their sincere sympathy in their bereavement. (18 Aug 1904, Greer County Republican, Erick, Beckham Co, OK): DIED. - At his residence in this city on Friday, August 12, 1904, of dropsy, L. B. Moss. Mr. Moss suffered a severe attack of measles some weeks ago from the effects of which his system became deranged and dropsy resulted. He had been confined to his bed most of the time since his first sickness, the disease finally resulting fatally as above mentioned. Mr. Moss was a kind husband, and indulgent father, an energetic and enterprising citizen and agreeable companion. He leaves a wife and seven children, mostly small, and a large circle of friends to mourn his untimely taking away. He was a son of Dr. B. H. Moss of Delhi.
