ORTEG, EDWARD D.
(29 Mar 1928, Erick Democrat, Erick, Beckham Co, OK):
Word has been received here stating that Mr. E. D. Orteg died at Yuma, Arizona 
Sunday night.  The body will be sent here for burial.
Mr. Edward D. Orteg born July 10th, 1853, died March 25th, 1928, aged 74 years, 
8 months and 15 days.  Funeral Services were held at the Erick Cemetery 
Thursday afternoon at 4 o'clock March 29.
The Masonic Lodge had charge of the services.
The deceased and wife had been in California and Arizona visiting.  He died 
suddenly at the home of his daughter Mrs. Thompson in Yuma, Arizona.
The family have lived in the Sweetwater Community a number of years and their 
host of friends join in extending sympathy in this bereavement.
--Mr. and Mrs. Ben Orteg of Earth, Texas, came in Tuesday to attend the 
funeral of the formers father.

--Mr. Wade Orteg came in last week from Stockton, Calif. to attend the funeral 
of his father.  He came in while in town and had the Democrat sent to him.  
Wade is married and is doing well in his California surroundings.  Wade Orteg 
left Sunday for his home in Stockton, California.
--Ed Orteg and Mrs. Jesse Thompson of Yuma, Arizona were here attending the 
funeral of their father, Mr. E. D. Orteg.
Levi Dillon, Otis Young and wife, H. L. Spivy and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd 
Cupp, J. E. McCarty and family, H. M. McDaniel attended Mr. Orteg's funeral 
Wednesday.

our recent bereavement in the death of our husband, father and grandfather,
