Pearson died Oct. 28 at his home twelve miles northwest of Sweetwater, Okla. Deceased was 58 years old and a graduate of Virginia Military Institute and received his medical education at Mobile, Ala. He was one of the best educated men in the county and had been admitted to the bar although we do not know that he ever practiced law. Dr. Pearson was a man of sterling qualities whose word was as good as gold, and he was highly respected by all who knew him. The nature of the disease that caused his death is uncertain. The doctor himself called it appendicitis, while the attendant physician, Dr. Baysinger was of the opinion that it was typhoid fever. For more than a week previous to his death, the doctor knew he was going to die, and gave directions for his funeral and advice to his wife concerning his business affairs. The remains were interred in Mulberry Grove cemetery (Roger Mills County). At Dr. Pearson's request L. S. Welsh made a short address at the grave. Deceased leaves an estimable wife and three children. (2 Nov 1905, Sayre Headlight, Sayre, Beckham Co, OK): Monday night at 10 o'clock, Dr. W. F.
