PUMPHREY, J. C.
(3 Oct 1907, Thursday, Beckham County Democrat, Erick, Beckham Co, OK):
DIED.  At the residence of J. P. Burrow, 1 1/2 miles southwest of Erick on
27 inst., J. C. Pumphrey of complication of diseases.  Mr. Pumphrey
formerly lived in the Delhi neighborhood and last spring removed with his
family to New Mexico.
Business matters called him to Erick a short time ago and while looking
after his business was taken sick and died.
Mr. Pumphrey was a man well thought of by his neighbors and leaves several
children to mourn his death.  His remains were laid to rest in Erick
cemetery.
