RAINES, ELIZA MARY
(2 Feb 1928, Thursday, Erick Democrat, Erick, Beckham Co, OK):
Mrs. Mary Raines died at the home of her son, Oscar Swafford, Monday,
January 30th, 1928.  She had been in feeble health for several months and
many times her life was dispaired of, but somehow the Lord saw fit to
spare her until Monday when the final summons came.
She leaves 5 children to mourn her departure, Oscar Swafford and Mrs. Bert
McNatt, both of Erick, Mrs. Jack Hilton of Hollis, Mrs. Leaburn Matthews
of Texola and Ernest Swafford.
Funeral services were held at the Baptist Tabernacle, Tuesday evening at
2:30 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Etheredge.  Interment in the Erick
cemetery.
