ROBISON, NEWTON JOSEPH
(28 May 1925, Thursday, Erick Democrat, Erick, Beckham Co, OK):
N. J. Robison, one of the pioneer citizens of the Delhi community died at
the hospital at Elk City last Thursday night after an illness of three
days.  Mr. Robison and family came to Oklahoma in the early days.  He was
a Confederate soldier, and enjoyed the distinction of being one of the
oldest Oddfellows in Oklahoma, being a member for fifty one years.  The
funeral services were held at the Delhi Methodist Church Saturday
afternoon and the burial rite conducted by the Sayre Lodge A.F. & A.M. 
Mr. Robison is survived by his aged wife and several children.

There are hours that come into the lives of all, when every impulse of the
heart is buried under its weight of sorrow.  We stand there today, yet we
would fain give expression to the gratitude that wells up from the depths
of our hearts as we remember the kindness of the many friends of Sayre,
Elk City and Carter in lending assistance during the illness, death of
funeral of our father Newton Jasper Robinson. (sic)
