ROWLAND, FRED
(3 Jun 1909, Thursday, Beckham County Democrat, Erick, Beckham Co, OK):
Fred Rowland age 27 years and 7 days, died at his home near Erick at 12:15
a.m. on June 1st.
Fred as he was generally known by his many friends in Erick was a young
man of exemplary habits and held the esteem and respect of every one with
whom he became acquainted.  He leaves a wife and two children, his
parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Rowland, and a large circle of friends to
mourn his death.
The funeral services were conducted at the Erick cemetery Wednesday
morning at 10 o'clock.

Mr. Fred Rowland died at his home three miles northwest of Erick last
Tuesday, June 1st, at 12:15 a.m., after having lingered in poor health
with consumption for many months.  Mr. Rowland was a lovable young man a
little more than 27 years old.  He was especially gifted as an artist and
was ambitious along that line, although he was prevented from
accomplishing much because of his frail health.
Deceased leaves a wife and two children.
Interment was made in Erick cemetery Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock. 
Funeral and burial services were conducted by Elder J. L. Haddock.
Mr. Rowland was a frequent caller at the Altruist office and his visits
will be missed by us.  He was invariably well thout (sic) of and his death
will be truly mourned by a large circle of friends.
