She had been in ill health for more than a year, but nothing that seemed alarming till the day before her death. She was taken with a severe pain in the head. Which seemed uncontrollable except with an anesthetic. She passed away at 8 o'clock p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15th: Mrs. Shufflebarger lived in Erick a number of years. Obeyed the gospel here in her girlhood. Was married, and the two children, Elden and Ruth, 8 and 11 years of age, were born here. While they lived in Shamrock the past few years Erick still feels that Daisie and Hi belong to us; and the bereaved husband and exceptionally bright children have our deepest sympathy in their dark hour of sorrow. May her crossing over to the other shore be another tie that will inspire them to a better and more consecrated life and may they trust our heavenly Father who is ever ready to give us strength and who has promised our trials shall not be greater than we are able to bear. Mrs. Bagly (sic), her mother, 73 years of age, was with her at the time of her death. Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Thomas, Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Bagley, Dr. and Mrs. Lee McDermmet, Mr. and Mrs. R. M. Ratcliff, all of Erick reached her in time to see the last but her sisters Mrs. May Rilander of Tulsa, Okla., Mrs. Alice Craver of Georgetown, Texas, her other brothers, Wylie, Wood and Wallace Bagley of Runing Springs, Texas, also Mrs. Wells of Cordell, Okla., attended her funeral. She was a beautiful corpse her casket and shroud were white and masses of beautiful white chysantums (sic) lilies and carnations sent by her many friends and relatives.
