SMITH, OLEVIA
(31 Dec 1909, Erick Altruist, Erick, Beckham Co, OK):
MRS. F. E. SMITH
Mrs. F. E. Smith, formerly Olevia Haines of Denton, Texas, died at her
home about ten miles south of Erick Dec. 28, 1909, just seven years to the
day after her marriage to Mr. F. E. (Gene) Smith.  She was a faithful
member of the Christian church and her pastor, Rev. H. E. Stubbs,
conducted the funeral services.  He spoke words that were comforting to
her widowed husband and five orphan children, ranging in age from three to
eleven years.  Interment was made in Erick cemetery the 29th.  Mrs. Smith
has been ill for some time but her death came as a shock to her friends.
