SMITH, LUCY
(5 Jun 1930, Beckham County Democrat, Erick, Beckham Co, OK):
Smith Rites Memorial Day.
Mrs. Lucy Smith, wife of O. G. Smith, died suddenly at the family home on
South Magnolia street last Thursday night from strangulation.  She had
been in declining health for some months and only recently underwent an
operation for appendicitis and while she was thought to be slowly
recovering from that malady complications arose that caused her sudden
demise.
Burial was had Friday afternoon at four o'clock in Erick cemetery, last
rites being said at the grave by Rev. Barham, pastor of the Nazarene
Church.  Undertaker Fatheree was in charge of arrangements.
