SPURLIN, GEORGE W.
(8 Dec 1921, Thursday, Erick Democrat, Erick, Beckham Co, OK):
George W. Spurlin, born September, 1854, died December 3, 1921, age 67
years and 18 days.
In the passing away of Mr. Spurlin, the family loses a good husband and
father, and the city of Erick one of its best and most respected citizens.
 The writer has known Mr. Spurlin for the past 15 years and during that
time he was engaged in the grocery business, and in our daily association,
we have always found him cheerful and hopeful; always looking on the
bright side of life and never complaining.
The funeral services were held at the Church of Christ, Sunday, December
4.  The remains were sent to Memphis, Texas, where they will be laid to
rest to await the resurrection day.
The bereaved, relatives and friends, have the sympathy of the entire
community in their hour of sorrow.
