All rights reserved. http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/copyright.htm ************************************************ STEVENS, MOLLY (11 Aug 1927, Thursday, Erick Democrat, Erick, Beckham Co, OK): Mrs. Molly Stevens died Saturday August 6th at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Jim Parrish, near Delhi, at the age of 82 years, 4 months and 26 days. She was born in Georgia but after an early marriage to Mr. McDaniel moved to Dangerfield, Texas. Two children were born to them, one of whom died when nearly grown, the other, T. K., now living at Crosbytown, Texas. After Mr. McDaniel's death she met and united with Sphinx Hussey also of Dangerfield. To their union were born four children, G. S. who lives at Dangerfield, T. J. of Erick, Mrs. Missie Stringfellow who died at the age of 25 at Grapevine, Tex., and Mrs. Jim Parrish of Erick. When nearly fifty years of age and death again having left her lonely, she met and married Mr. D. B. Stevens of Dangerfield. There were no children to this union. Mr. Stevens died some eighteen years ago leaving her thrice widowed. About two years ago she came to live with her daughter, Mrs. Jim Parrish. Mrs. Stevens had been a member of the Christian Church for over forty years holding her membership at the church at Rocky Branch, Texas. At her death she was taken to Dangerfield where the funeral services were held Monday afternoon, August 8th, and her body laid to rest among the many loved ones who had preceded her. She leaves besides her four living children, seventeen grandchildren, and four great grandchildren, together with many other relatives and a host of sorrowing friends. The body was accompanied to Dangerfield by Mrs. Jim Parrish and children Fruzy Fae, Gordon and Mary Dell and niece, Mrs. Bill Davis.
