(2 Jan 1930, Thursday, Erick Democrat, Erick, Beckham Co, OK):
L. D. STUART, CARL PIONEER, DIES
Funeral services were held Tuesday, at the home near Carl, for L. D.
Stuart, 65, whose death occurred Sunday night in the Erick Hospital,
following a lingering illness, burial being in Independence cemetery
(Harmon County).
He was a pioneer settler of the Carl community, South of Erick, having
moved to that section more than thirty years ago.  Fatheree Undertaking
Company had charge of arrangements.

CARD OF THANKS
We take this method of extending our heart felt thanks and appreciation to
our friends and neighbors for their kind deeds, acts and words of
consolation during our sad hours of grief and sorrow following the
sickness and death of our father and brother L. D. Stuart.  We especially
wish to thank Drs. Connor and Stagner, also nurses for their kind service
and Mr. Fatheree for his kind service.  May God's richest blessings abide
with each of you is our prayers.
