STUBBS, JAMES SILAS, Jr.
(13 May 1909, Erick Altruist, Erick, Beckham Co, OK):
DIED.  With sorrow, we announce that little Jimmie, the infant son of Dr.
and Mrs. J. S. Stubbs died at 11 o'clock this morning, after having
struggled for life for a week.  His suffering seemed to end a short time
before he died and when the end came he had an angelic smile upon his baby
face.
Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow at the Baptist church. 
Interment in Erick cemetery.
(20 May 1909, Thursday, Beckham County Democrat, Erick, Beckham Co, OK):
DIED.  Little James Silas, Jr., son of Dr. and Mrs. J. S. Stubbs died last
Thursday morning and was laid to rest in the Erick Cemetery the following
day.  All that medical skill and loving hands could do was vain and the
little spirit was called home to God who gave it, after having been loaned
to loving parents a little over a year.
Funeral services were conducted by Revs. Elder and Minton at the Baptist
Church.  The Democrat joins the entire community in extending sympathy and
condolence to the parents in their sad bereavement.
