FAY (HANCE) TAYLOR On the evening of May 31, 1928 the charoit (sic) of heaven swung low in the home of Elmer Taylor about six miles southeast of Erick and transferred his wife Mrs. Fay Taylor to her eternal home. Mrs. Taylor was born in Beckham county near Erick, May 8th, 1910 and was married to Elmer Taylor July 3rd, 1926. Mrs. Fay (Hance) Taylor lived near Erick all of her life and was well known by the people of the town and communities, the large crowd that was present at her funeral tell stronger than words that she had many friends, the funeral was conducted in the Nazarene Church by Rev. Lee Goodwin and F. O. Short, in the absents (sic) of the pastor. Mrs. Taylor was converted when 12 years of age and joined the Nazarene Church, just before passing away she declared that all was well with her, she was going to be with Jesus and ask her husband and loved ones to meet her in heaven where sickness and death and seperation would be known no more. She leaves a husband and one child 8 months of age. Father, mother, four sisters and four brothers and a great host of friends to mourn their loss. Mrs. Taylor's death was a shock to all as she was only sick 4 or 5 days. Drs., loved ones, and friends worked faithfully, doing all that was in their power to keep her here, but could not keep the death angle (sic) away. --------------------------------------------------- Return to Beckham County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/beckham/beckham.html
