(9 Mar 1922, Thursday, Erick Democrat, Erick, Beckham Co, OK): In Memorium We are called upon to record the death of Warren L. Taylor, who passed away Thursday, March 2, 1922. The deceased has resided in the Dabney community for 20 years, having filed on the homestead on which he lived so long in 1900, in old Greer county. He built his home upon the prairie and from its wild state he saw it grow into the prosperous and beautiful farm home. The result of his unceasing, untiring labor and energy. Warren LeGrande Taylor was born in Ohio, June 24, 1861. His remains were interred in the Texola cemetery, beside his wife and infant son, both having passed away April 19, 1906. Warren LeGrande Taylor is survived by five children as follows: Oscar Taylor, Leedy, Okla.; William Taylor, Erick, Okla.; Mrs. Ida Lee, Elk City, Okla.; Mrs. Bertie Comstock, Erick, Okla.; Mrs. Elizabeth Lucas, Erick, Okla., and also one brother and four sisters, via. John Taylor and Mrs. Ida Vannerson, Erick, Okla.; Mrs. Carrie Johnson, Hillsboro, Iowa; Miss Sarah Taylor, Leesburg, Ohio; Mrs. Nora Saunders, Ohio and Mrs. Wealtha Bell, Fresno, California. The funeral services were held at the Mt. Carmel church, Dabney community, Rev. J. B. Williams, Texola, Okla., pastor of the M. E. Church, South and Rev. S. N. Wilson, Baptist minister conducted the services. The obituary was read by the Rev. Williams, pastor of the Church to which Warren L. Taylor has been a member for 30 years.
