THOMAS, MARY D.
(18 Mar 1909, Thursday, Beckham County Democrat, Erick, Beckham Co, OK):
Mrs. Mary D. Thomas died March 16, 1909 at her home southeast of Erick,
aged 38 years, 8 months and 16 days.  Mrs. Thomas had only been sick about
ten days and her death was very unexpected.  The deceased leaves a husband
and five children - Charlie, Sallie, Edward, Gertrude and Lucy - to mourn
her departure.  The family have the sympathy of the entire community in
this their hour of sorrow.
The funeral will take place at the Erick cemetery Thursday, March 18th, at
3 o'clock.

DIED.  - At her home in east of Erick at 5 o'clock Tuesday evening, Mrs.
Mary D. Thomas, formerly Miss Mary D. Johnson of Clinton, Kentucky.  Mrs.
Thomas was a sweet spirited, lovable lady - an affectionate dutiful wife
and mother.  She is survived by her husband, Mr. J. Henry Thomas and five
children.
Funeral services will be held today March 18, and interment made in Erick
cemetery.  Rev. W. M. Taylor will conduct the funeral.  Mr. Thomas and his
motherless children have the sincere sympathy of every one in the
community.
