TOPPER, ANDREW E.
(11 Oct 1928, Beckham County Democrat, Erick, Beckham Co, OK):
Mr. A. E. Topper of the Sweetwater community, died Friday, October the
5th, at his home, age 82 years, 10 months and 7 days.
Mr. Topper was born in the year of 1885 (sic) in the state of Texas.
He was among the first settlers of the Sweetwater community, having
located there about 30 years ago, when he filed on a homestead.
He served in the confederate army during the civil war and made a splendid
record as a soldier.
Mr. Topper was well known in Erick and vicinity as a man of fine sterling
qualities.  His many friends join with the Democrat in extending sympathy
to the relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at the home and the remains were laid to rest
in the cemetery near Sweetwater, Saturday, October 6.  (Salem Cemetery).
