TORBET, IDA BELLE
(21 Apr 1910, Erick Altruist, Erick, Beckham Co, OK):
Mrs. Torbet Dead
Mrs. Ida Belle Jennings Torbet was born in Sebastian county, Arkansas,
February 5, 1881, died April 20, 1910, at 8:05 a.m., age 29 years, 2
months and 16 days.
She was married May 13, 1901, to David Torbet, who died in August, 1906,
in California.
Deceased had made her home in Erick with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. G.
Jennings, for the past years and was loved by all for her sweet, christian
spirit.  She was a devoted member of the Baptist church, having accepted
Christ as her savior in her 18th year, and ever afterward led a life
devoted to the cause of her Master.  For the past 8 or 10 days prior to
her death she had been quite low and her demise was almost hourly
expected, and when the end came she met it with a calm, sweet smile and
without a struggle, which betokened that all was well between her and her
Savior.
She leaves four little children, two brothers and her parents to mourn her
death.
Funeral services were held at the Baptist church yesterday afternoon at 4
o'clock, conducted by her pastor, Rev. J. F. Elder.  Interment at Erick
cemetery.
