TOTTY, WILLIAM C.
(29 Nov 1928, Thursday, Erick Democrat, Erick, Beckham Co, OK):
William Carroll Totty was born March 6, 1859 in Montague County, Texas. 
Departed this life, November 24, 1928, at the age of 69 years, 9 months
and 18 days.  He was married to Carey Gilliland in 1901.
To this union was born one son, Beard.
He was converted and joined the Methodist church at Gainsville, Texas,
about 20 years ago.
He leaves to mourn his departure his wife and son and one brother, Leland
Totty of Waurika, Oklahoma, and a host of other relatives and friends. 
His remains were laid to rest in the Delhi Cemetery.

Community News:
Sadness has again crept into two homes with death which removed from our
midst two old and honored gentlemen.  Grandpa McDougal, familiarly known
as Uncle Mc, was laid to rest in the Delhi cemetery Saturday evening at
three o'clock.  Rev. Smith, one time pastor of the First Baptist Church of
Delhi of which Uncle McDougal was a member, conducted the services.
The Masons had charge of the grave procedures.  The other funeral was
conducted from the pulpit of the Methodist church for Uncle Willie Torry
(sic), at four o'clock Saturday evening.  We failed to learn the name of
the officiating minister.
