VINES, WILLIAM
(19 Jul 1923, Thursday, Erick Democrat, Erick, Beckham Co, OK):
Saturday P.M. at 5 o'clock, little Willie the baby son of Mr. and Mrs. Dan
Vines passed out of this life.  He was more than three years of age.  The
body was laid to rest in the Erick cemetery Sunday afternoon.  Rev. Bell
of the Erick Baptist church conducted the funeral service.
Little Willie had been an invalid almost since birth and underwent an
operation at Elk City last week, which the doctor's thought was the last
chance for his life, though it was not with much hope that the operation
was resorted to.
The sympathy of the entire community goes out to the bereaved ones, who it
seemed could never give him up.
