WRIGHT, NEVA MAE
(13 Sep 1928, Beckham County Democrat, Erick, Beckham Co, OK):
Neva Mae Wright, the elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wright of Erick, was
born May 23, 1911.  She departed from this life, August 31, 1928.
Mr. and Mrs. Wright and children had returned from a trip in various parts
of Kansas and Texas and had gone east to Arkansas to spend the remainder
of their summer before school started.  They were at Springdale, Arkansas
at the time of their daughter's death.  It was unexpected, she seemed to
be the picture of health and hardly knew what it was to be ill a day in
her life.  The family were reporting that they were having a wonderful
time and Miss Wright wrote a friend back home, that she would see her soon
as she was coming home in time to start to school last Monday.  After she
had written her last message, she was taken suddenly ill.  It is reported
she had typhoid fever.
All the best Drs. were unable to save the precious young life, that was
budding into young womanhood.  She was conscious until the last.  She knew
that God was ready for her to make the journey "Over the Great Divide." 
She died peacefully and went home to meet her God, with that true heart.
Miss Wright has a host of relatives and friends.  She was one who knew the
full meaning of friendship.  She knew what it was to have friends, who had
hearts so closely united that they would have given their life for each
other.
The remains were shipped back to the little town she loved, and was laid
beside Raymond, her brother in the Carter cemetery, Tuesday.
