J. Gaynor 89, mother of H. C. Gaynor of this city, died at 10 o'clock Tuesday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. E. Green, northeast of Sayre. Mrs. Gaynor had been ill about a week. She was preceded in death by her husband two hears ago. Sur- viving are nine children. The fun- eral arrangements are awaiting word from a daughter in Lake Odessa. Mich. Elk City Journal 18 Nov 1936. Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Jane Gaynor will be held at 10 a. m. Saturday in the auditorium of the Doxey school. Mrs. Gaynor died Tuesday at the home of her daughter Mrs. Earl Green at Doxey. Burial will be made in the Doxey-Sayre cemetery. Rev. Kes- sler of Sawyer, Kan., will officiate. Mrs. Gaynor was born February 21, 1849 in Jennings Gap, Va. She was 87 years, seven months and 27 days of age. Surivving are nine children. They are Mrs. Elizabeth C. Kennedy of Sawyer, Kans; Mrs.. Albert R. Hickman, Osceola, Nebr.; Samuel Gaynor, Deer Creek; Mrs. Elizina Cline, Mayfield; Mrs. Lewis C. Etter, Oklahoma City; Jesse L. Gaynor, Doxey; Mrs. Earl Green, Doxey; C. H. Gaynor, Elk City, and Mrs. Mildred N. Frye, Freeport, Mich. Elk City Journal 20 Nov 1936 Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Jane Gaynor, 87, mother of Cleve Gaynor of Elk City, was held Saturday at the Doxey school with Rev. Keffler of Pratt, Kansas, officiating. Mrs.. Gaynor was born Feb. 21, 1849 and died Nov. 17, 1936. She was a member of the German Baptist church. She came to this county in 1901 and resided at her farm one mile west and two miles north of the Doxey school at the time of her death. Burial was in the Doxey-Sayre cemetery.
