Garrett, pioneer citizen of Beckham county, died at her home five and one-half miles southeast of Sayre at 9 o'- clock Thursday evening. Mrs. Garrett had lived on the same farm for a period of 44 years. She moved with her hus- band and children to Oklahoma in 1898 and the family went di- rectly to their farm near the city where they have resided since. Mrs. Garrett was born January 14, 1863 in Arkansas. Her father was born aboard ship in the At- lantic while his parents were com- ing to America from Scotland. After the death of her husband on February 22, 1927 Mrs. Garrett continued to maintain her farm home with the assistance of her son, George, who was with her a the time of her death. Surviving her are two daugh- ters and three sons: George Gar- rett of Sayre, Mrs. Myrtle Baxter of Sayre, Floyd Garrett, Sayre, John Garrett, San Antonio, Tex- as, and Mrs. S. C.
