An abstract of an obituary for Harry Gibson, found in files of the 
Erick Democrat Newspaper, sent to me  by Mrs. J. W. Snider, Borger, TX. 1970

"Harry Gibson died Wednesday 7-1-1942 at home.  His wife died 10-9-1940.
He was born 3-22-1862 in Tenn. married 1888 Martha Ann Riggs.  
From Tenn. to S. E. Missouri in 1898.  Two years later moved to Okla. in 
April of 1900 and settled near Delhi....moving to Erick in spring of 1916.  
Converted and became a first Baptist member at age of 16.
Funeral 7-3-1942 at 2:30 with Rev. D. D. Barber conducting services.
Buried Delhi Cemetery.  Survived by 5 of 10 children
Eva Erwin, Sayre, Okla.; Rellie Head, Monte Rose, Calif.;  Goldie Sullivan,
L. A., Calif., Evaline Hance, Okla. City, Okla.;  Carley Gibson of Erick
A brother, George Gibson of Clayton, N. Mex.  13 grandchildren and 5 great
grandchildren."

Notes from Mrs. J. W. Snider, Borger, TX (1970):  Carley Gibson is still living 
in Erick and was an undertaker for many, many years. Harry's brother, George, died
Dec. 18, 1945 in Amarillo, Texas where he was living with a daughter, Amy.

Martha A. Gibson, wife of H. Gibson, b. 2-26-1862; d. 10-9-1940.  Parents were 
G. W. Riggs and Evaline _____ 

My notes:  William George Riggs and Sarah Eveline Jenkins were married in 1850
(1850 census for Decatur County, TN)  
Harry Gibson married Martha Ann Riggs in Decatur County, TN on  10 Sep 1888.
