She gave her life to Jesus and united with the Bap- tist church about 58 years ago, to which she has been a faithful members until her work on this earth was finished and she was called to that heavenly home on October 9, 1940 at the age of 76 years, 7 months and 13 days. She was married to Harry Gibson at Decatur, Tennessee, August 22, 1888 and to this union 10 chil- dren were born, five of whom preceded her to the Great Beyond. She leaves her husband, Harry Gibson, one son Carley, of Erick; four daughters, Mrs. Eva Ervin of Sayre, Mrs. Rellie Head of Los Angeles, Calif., Mrs. Goldie Sulli- van of Los Angeles, Calif., and Mrs. Evalin Hance of Oklahoma City. Eighteen grandchildren who sur- vive are: Mrs. Floyd Blair, Borger, Tex.; Mrs. Aurell Robertson of Erick; Mrs. Jack Graham, Okla- homa City; Mrs. Lester Hurst, Ok- lahoma City; Mrs. Georgie Hen- shaw, San Francisco, Calif; J. D. Hance, Clovis, N. M.; Mrs. Olan Wester, Tipton, Okla.; Waymon C. Gibson, Stillwater, Okla; Jay Wayne, Clarence, Charles and Shelia Ann Gibson, all of Erick; Leo and T. J. Sullivan of Los An- geles, Calif; Willie Sullivan of Norman; Mrs. LaVerne Hester of Los Angeles, Calif.; Alareda Head of Oklahoma City; and Rex Head of Orange, Calif. Two great grandchildren, Dale Glenn Wester of Tipton and Jackie Lee Graham of Oklahoma City also survive. For a little more than 40 years, Mrs. Gibson had lived near Delhi and in Erick, where she made a host of friends who mourn her depature. Funeral services were held Fri- day, October 11, 1940 from the First Baptist church of Erick, Rev. D. D. Barber officiating, assisted by Rev. W. H. Gayer. Active pall- bearers were six grandsons Way- mon C., and Jay Wayne Gibson, Willie Sullivan, J. D. Hance, Oral Robertson and Jack Graham. Hon- orary bearers were four grand- children, Floyd Blair, Lester Hurst, Olin Wester and Troy Bulland. Flower bearers were seven grand- daughters, Annie Robertson, Myrle Blair, Alareda Head, Tresa Wester, Helen Graham, Alamay Hurst and Lereta Chaplin.
