L. Griffin, and mother of Mrs. E. M. Rogers, of this city, were held at 3 o'clock this afternoon at the First Christian Church with Rev. C. R. Malone, pastor, offici- ating. Mrs. Griffin died at the home of her daughter here Thursday after an illness of about two years. Be- sides her husband she is survived by the daughter Mrs. Rogers and three other children, two other daughters Mrs. Emma Moore, of Garber and Mrs. Nona Larm, of Tucson, Ariz., and a son N. E. Griffin of Rush Springs. A son James Monroe Griffin died in 1905. Mrs. Griffin, a resident of Elk City for 16 years, was born in Ar- kansas October 20, 1855. Her mar- riage with Mr. Griffin occurred March 7, 1883 in the state in which she was born. She was a member of the Christian church. Burial was made in the Fair- lawn cemetery with Killough-Hul- um funeral directors in charge. Elk City Newspaper 26 May 1933
